We offer help for people with muscle, joint, and bone problems in our Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment and Triage services across Derbyshire.
We don’t treat some conditions in this service. If you have one of the conditions below and are wanting advice or treatment in relation to this condition, please use the links or speak to your GP to get the right help:
- If you can’t leave your home, your health condition or poor mobility means its safer for your to be treated at home – Contact DCHS Community Physiotherapy
- Feet or toe problems – Contact the DCHS Community Podiatry Service
- Stroke or brain conditions – Talk to your GP
- Pelvic health problems (for all genders):
If you live in Chesterfield or North East Derbyshire – CRHFT Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
If you live in High Peak, Amber Valley or Erewash – Talk to your GP - Bladder or bowel problems (incontinence) – Contact the DCHS Continence Service
- Pain during pregnancy:
If you live in Chesterfield or North East Derbyshire – CRHFT Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
If you live in High Peak, Amber Valley or Erewash – Talk to your GP - Dizziness or balance problems (vestibular conditions) – Talk to your GP
- Breathing problems – Contact the DCHS Respiratory Service
- Heart conditions – Contact the DCHS Cardiac Rehabilitation services
We want to make sure you get the right care, in the right place, at the right time. If you refer yourself for one of the conditions above, we may not accept your referral or be able to treat your condition.
We offer physiotherapy services in many clinics across Derbyshire, except for Derby city. You can find more information about these locations and the services we provide in the ‘Where can I Attend My Appointment’ section below.
We offer our services from a range of locations across Derbyshire. If you are not able to find a suitable appointment at your closest site, you can choose to attend your appointment at any of our other sites.
To improve the quality of your care, we recommend that you stay with the same healthcare professional for your whole course of treatment. Please consider this when choosing the location of your first appointment

About our service
Refer Yourself
If you are aged 18 years and over, you can refer yourself for an assessment with our Musculoskeletal Therapy team.
If you are under 18, please see your GP.
Please note we only accept referrals to our MSK CATS service from GPs and consultants. Self-referral is not available for this service.
