Waiting Well Standard Operating Procedure (S115)
This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been developed to set out the expected clinical standards for DCHS and DHCFT by which we manage our access to services for people who are either not yet receiving a service from a specific team or who are awaiting this intervention. There will continue to be a DCHS and DHCFT policy and procedure due to systems and governance and to refer to the relevant one as appropriate. This SOP is to support the safety and well-being of service users (and those around them) who are waiting to access our services.
Remote Consultation (telehealth) – Standard Operating Procedure Planned Care and Specialist Services (S120)
This standard operating procedure sets out the process by which we will determine, for each patient, for each contact, when it is safe and effective to offer a remote consultation, and when a face to face consultation will be needed. This will ensure that all patients who wish to access remote consultation are able to do so equitably, based on clear clinical decision making.

When patients from Sudbury Prison are referred from secondary care to Out Patient therapy, MSK or Podiatry, for example post-operative patients, they occasionally require a chaperone. Sudbury prison is a category D prison. Some prisoners will need one officer to accompany them whilst on probation. Prisoners may be able to attend appointments alone in line with prison risk assessment. Prisoners requiring two officers should not be seen in the department as advised by Head of Security at Sudbury Prison
