Diabetes services

We provide two services for people with diabetes - Community Diabetes for people with Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes and our Diabetes Education service for people with Type 2 diabetes in Derby and Derbyshire. Each service is designed and selected according to individual requirements.

Tier 3 Weight Management Service Derbyshire

The Tier 3 Weight Management Service offers a weight management programme to support adults with severe and complex obesity to lose weight across Derby City and Derbyshire County.

Finance and Procurement System Changes

The Trust’s current contract for the provision of financial services (i.e. finance and procurement) from NHS Shared Business Services (SBS) is coming to an end on 31 March 2022.

Mental Health Act 1983 - Detention of Informal Patients under Section 5(4) Policy and Procedure (P104)

This policy provides guidance on the use of Section 5(4), nurses holding power under the Mental Health Act 1983. It should be followed by all Registered Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses working in trust in-patient areas. This short-term power, not more than six hours, can be applied to informal patients under certain conditions as below. This policy should be read in conjunction with Chapter 18 ‘Holding powers’ of the Mental Health Act 1983 Code of Practice (2015).
