Podiatry - Community Podiatry Service
The community podiatry service provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a range of patients with lower limb and foot problems, including; - People with long term conditions such as diabetes, vascular disease, amputees, connective tissue disorders, stroke, Parkinson's disease - People with multiple and complex needs e.g. dementia, falls - People with biomechanical problems e.g. gait /postural problems - People requiring wound care to the foot - People requiring nail surgery - People with severe foot and ankle problems and conditions.

As part of the national response to the monkeypox incident, DCHS will be receiving frozen smallpox vaccine (currently Imvanex and Jynneos, may be alternative brand in future) the modified vaccinia Ankara (MVA-BN) to be able to vaccinate appropriate people in line with national guidance. This SOP describes the process of receiving a delivery of the smallpox vaccine, unpacking frozen smallpox vaccine and transfer into a fridge to thaw.

INR Testing procedure within Derbyshire Community Health Services by Podiatry Surgery at Ilkeston and Buxton Hospitals (S128)
Only podiatric surgery with the relevant equipment, training and framework in place will be able to utilise this procedure. This clinical procedure will support clinical staff in practice to include arrangements with regards the procedure of the taking of the INR test, quality assurance /quality control, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessment, Infection control measures, and any relevant Health and Safety issues.
