Mandatory e-learning compliance for bank workers
Compliance with mandatory training is vitally important to the Trust and supports the delivery of safe and efficient services for our patients. Given the importance we place on this, the Trust is now asking all active bank workers to be 90% compliant against all mandatory e-learning by the end of May 2023 – the list of e-learning courses is below. This means that anyone who doesn’t reach 90% compliance by the end of May will be restricted from working further shifts on the bank until they meet that threshold.
Then, by 1 August, all active bank workers will need to be 100% compliant against this list. Further work is ongoing to extend this to include role-specific courses. The responsibility for alerting workers to any gaps in compliance for colleagues who have a substantive contract and also work on the bank is with the line manager of the substantive role. The temporary staffing team are monitoring workers who are ONLY registered on the bank.
Compliance is required against the following e-learning courses:
- Conflict resolution
- Data security awareness level 1 (also known as information governance)
- Equality & diversity
- Fire safety
- Health & safety
- Infection control level 1
- Moving and handling level 1
- Oliver McGowan
- Patient safety level 1
- Raising concerns / Freedom to speak up
- Safeguarding adults level 1*
- Safeguarding children level 1*
*This may have been awarded if you complete a think family course for clinical roles. Please check your competence matrix on ESR before completing if unsure.
We hope this will not have a negative impact on our ongoing fill rates, but please escalate any concerns to dchst.temporarystaffing@nhs.net, thank you.
