Walton Hospital – craning in the final pieces of the building jigsaw!
It has taken precision and skill to build an entire new “wing” of Walton Hospital off site in sections and then crane it carefully into place, and for it all to fit together perfectly! Our thanks - and admiration - to all the people who have managed this engineering feat over several weekends in January and the Walton IFM and estates colleagues who have ensured these ultra large deliveries were managed smoothly.
This photo was taken last weekend and shows the new hospital porch being manoeuvred into place. The intricate job of creating the internal walls and kitting out the interior of these building blocks ready for the opening of the new community diagnostic centre later this year is now underway at full pace.
