3rd June 2025

The rollout of the new national NHS uniforms is progressing in DCHS and we are asking colleagues to get measured in preparation for our first order.

The new uniforms will be a different style and fit - they are gender neutral and much less form fitting - meaning we are moving into new, nonstandard, sizing. This means we need to measure all clinical staff to determine sizes for our first bulk order by 25 July 2025.

Sizing Events

Our supplier will hold five sizing events throughout June. These events will run from 9am to 5pm on the following dates and at the following locations:

23 June 2025

Logistic Office, Walton Hospital

24 June 2025

Hopewell Ward, Ilkeston Community Hospital

25 June 2025

Logistic Office, Walton Hospital

26 June 2025

Breakout room 2, level 3, Florence Nightingale Hospital

27 June 2025

Breakout room 2, level 3, Florence Nightingale Hospital

There will be some further local pop-up sizing days and details of these will be publicised soon.

Self-measurement

We are also asking staff to self-measure. If you are unable to attend a session above, guides are available here (Levi – all three attached if you can’t access these links):

Once you have obtained your measurements, please submit them to your local support staff who will place the order on the supplier portal. Please submit your measurements by 25 July 2025 which is the cut-off date for our first order.

As we prepare for the rollout, please be mindful to limit orders of the current uniform where possible. Additionally, check if amnesty stock held by Logistics can fulfill the requirements to avoid purchasing new items during the next few months until the new garments arrive.

For more information or if you have questions, please contact: dchst.nationaluniform@nhs.net

More details, including the disposal process for old uniforms, will be communicated soon.
