Applications opening soon for NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme
The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme opens applications for its next cohort on Monday 2 October. Launched in 2016, this free workforce development programme, is open to all NHS staff. It has supported over 1,000 clinical and non-clinical NHS staff to date to explore good ideas for innovative healthcare. The course providers, Anglia Ruskin University are actively encouraging applications from diverse backgrounds. It is part of the Accelerated Access Collaborative (AAC), the biggest entrepreneurial workforce development programme of its kind.
The application deadline is 29 October and successful recruits to cohort 8 begin in March 2024. The year-long programme will equip participants with skills, knowledge and support to develop innovations that will, in turn help transform patient care, as well as providing them with the entrepreneurial experience that will help them in their day jobs.
The programme consists of:
Learning
- CPD Accredited Pit Stops – two-day events delivering educational content – blended delivery both online and in person.
- Workshops and webinars with industry experts.
Mentoring
- Mentoring with one of our experienced mentors from industry, the NHS or academia
- 1-2-1 clinics with experts
- Business/project planning sessions.
Opportunities
- International opportunities and trips
- Company days and pitching opportunities with industry partners
- Networking – grow your network and get peer support.
Community
- Supportive and inclusive community
- Access to an online community hub
- Dedicated support team.
