Mask wearing across our sites
Due to the increase in cases of Covid-19 across the county, from this week (Monday 2 October) surgical face masks will be required to be worn by our colleagues across our GP practices and Urgent Treatment Centres.
We may ask patients and visitors to also wear a mask if they’re visiting one of our sites below:
- All of our Urgent Treatment Centres at Buxton, Ripley, Ilkeston and Whitworth Hospitals
- All of our GP practices – Ripley Medical Centre, Creswell and Langwith Centres, Castle Street Medical Centre, St Lawrence Road Surgery.
Help Us, Help You: We are asking for our community to help us limit the spread of respiratory illnesses, like flu and Covid-19, in our hospitals, health centres and in our community. Practising good hygiene will support our efforts and remains one of the best ways to limit the spread of infection, as well as being vaccinated against flu and Covid-19. We encourage visitors to not visit if they are symptomatic with coughs or colds whilst we try to limit numbers.
