Recent images reveal the rapid progress being made on the new health centre in Belper which is expected to open to patients next year.
With the whole frame of the building in place it is easier to see what it will look like when completed and how it will become a focal point in the local environment along Derby Road. Construction began on site in August 2024, led by Henry Brothers Construction, and work has been progressing steadily on the £15 million development.
Designed by Race Cottam Associates, the new facility is being built to high environmental standards and will provide a wide range of healthcare services to the community. Once complete, the centre will house 14 consulting rooms, six treatment rooms, a health education group room, and additional support spaces. Services to be offered at the centre include community nursing, midwifery clinics, podiatry, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, continence care, wound care, and phlebotomy. Watch this space for further updates as the building takes shape in the coming weeks and months.
