Belper’s new health centre – a building soon in need of a name!
Belper’s new health centre is rapidly taking shape. New images show just how far the town’s upcoming health centre has progressed in the past month.
Very soon now we’ll be inviting local residents, staff and patients to vote on the name of the new building. We’ll make sure there are online and in-person voting options for everyone to contribute their views about what this brand new building should be called, from a shortlist of possible options.
Construction firm Henry Brothers began work on site in August 2024, and progress on the £15 million project has been steady ever since. Created by architects Race Cottam Associates, the centre combines eye-catching design with top-tier environmental performance.
Set to open in 2026, the modern facility will include 14 consulting rooms, six treatment rooms, a dedicated health education group space, and an extensive range of services such as community nursing, midwifery, podiatry, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, continence care, wound management, and phlebotomy.
It’s an exciting leap forward for healthcare in the area — and each day brings it closer to reality.
