Rainbow lanyard awareness posters
As part of Pride Month, June 2024, new rainbow lanyard posters are going up across our DCHS sites to ensure patients, service users and families know they can seek support from any DCHS colleagues wearing rainbow lanyards. We are not expected to know all the answers, but wearing the rainbow lanyard signals that you are a listening ear and will help signpost people to the right support if necessary.
This is the responsibility of every one of us who chooses to wear a rainbow lanyard and is part of the DCHS commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. For more information and to find out about being a rainbow lanyard wearer please visit our LGBTQIA+ network page.
You can also print out and display this poster on staff noticeboards which describes what it means when you choose to wear a rainbow lanyard.
