Queens Nurse Awards 2023

Our DCHS group of Queens Nurses is growing fast, and we encourage you to apply. Information and details for the 2023 applications will be available on the Queens Nursing institute website within the next few days.

The Queens Nursing Institute believes that caring for people at home and in the community is fundamentally different from caring for patients in hospital. Community practice requires a different approach and different skills. A Queen’s Nurse is committed to providing best care to their patients. They are trusted and valued by their patients and respected and admired by their peers. They are enthusiastic and passionate about the care they provide. The Queen’s Nurse title is not a qualification, and it is not a requirement to help you to take on a particular role. It is a commitment to quality care, advocacy for patients and life-long learning.

As a Queens Nurse you will be part of a national network of Queens Nurses who are committed to the highest standards of patient care and will have the opportunity to access funding to develop your own ideas and skills through training programmes. The Queens Nursing Institute offer a myriad of information and support for Queens Nurses from a personal and professional perspective. You will also be part of an innovative group of community nurses who share and publish research into nursing practice, work force and education and improving knowledge and standards. Queens Nurses have the opportunity to apply for educational grants to enhance clinical and leadership skills and knowledge and also contribute to influencing government and policy makers in the campaign to increase investment in high quality services.
