As part of our transformation work, we are proposing to make some changes to how we provide cleaning services in our non-clinical areas, and we would appreciate your support with these changes. It means we need to support each other and our IFM colleagues to keep areas clean and tidy by tidying up, washing any pots used and ensure items are put away, e.g. in offices, kitchens etc. In essence, please leave areas as you would wish to find them.

As such the following changes to cleaning in non-clinical areas such as office bases etc are to be implemented:

  • Staff kitchens will be cleaned once per week.
  • Staff toilets that are only accessible by staff will be cleaned every other day but daily spot checks will be undertaken.
  • Offices will be cleaned on request and meeting rooms will be cleaned monthly. Wipes will be provided in meeting rooms to enable users to wipe down surfaces after use. Please keep offices clutter free and wipe down surfaces such as desk spaces after use, for example at the end of the day.
  • A central bin area will be located in areas for staff to take their rubbish to (such as a kitchen) and bins will be removed from offices, meeting rooms etc. This will assist us as an organisation in meeting waste guidance which asks we segregate waste.
