New national NHS uniforms – self sizing and colourways
The rollout of the new national NHS uniforms is well underway – thank you to everyone who has attended a measuring event so far.
All clinical roles need to be resized to fit into the new national uniforms. Our supplier is holding five sizing events throughout June, with further pop-up events to take place throughout July. Learn more here.
If you haven’t yet been measured, you can self-measure by taking your own measurements and using the sizing guide to identify your required sizes. You can then submit your details here or scan the QR code on the side of the page.
Self-measuring guides and further information are available here.
We’re also pleased to share that the final colourways for the new uniform have now been confirmed and are available to view here.
The redesigned uniform and new colourways have been developed nationally and based on wide consultation with staff, patients and visitors. A key finding was that many patients often felt confused by the number of different uniforms in use and found it hard to identify staff roles. The new colourways were chosen following a national public consultation, with input from professionals, service users and carers.
The new national approach is expected to reduce costs by up to 30 per cent over the next two years by removing variation and centralising uniform provision.
