Why is it important?: National Inclusion Week is important because it shines a spotlight on the value of creating workplaces where everyone feels respected, supported and able to belong.

By celebrating inclusion, organisations encourage open conversations about diversity, challenge barriers and promote positive change.

This week helps raise awareness, inspires action and reminds us that fostering an inclusive culture benefits individuals, teams and the wider community — making workplaces fairer, more innovative and better for everyone.

What are we doing at DCHS?

Reciprocal Mentoring
Reciprocal mentoring is a two-way mentoring relationship where both participants —learn from each other’s experiences, perspectives and insights.

Unlike traditional mentoring, it’s based on mutual exchange, fostering understanding and empathy across differences. This approach is important because it helps break down barriers, challenges unconscious bias and supports a more inclusive culture by ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and valued.

Through reciprocal mentoring, organisations can drive meaningful change and create environments where diversity and inclusion thrive.

Active Bystander Training
This helps to builds confidence to safely challenge inappropriate behaviour, support those affected and contribute to a respectful and inclusive culture

We’ve also recently launched our new microaggressions video
