DCHS staff networks – mini conference to celebrate diversity
Our staff networks have joined forces to host a mini conference at the Post Mill Centre, South Normanton, on Tuesday 28 March, to share learning and experiences and celebrate diversity at DCHS.
You are invited to save the date in your calendar and register your interest by following this link here.
The programme for the day is still being finalised but it will run from 9am until 2pm and it will include guest speakers and presentations for all four of the network groups: Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, LGBT+, Long Term Conditions and Disability and the Veterans’ Group. One of those who will speak is DCHS non-executive director Amo Raju who will talk about his personal experience of disability discrimination. The event will be chaired by Hilda Bertie, our interim head of inclusion and belonging, and it will be supported by members of the DCHS executive.
This will be an opportunity to meet DCHS staff networks, understand what they do, how they can help you and how you can help them, with time to learn and share experiences.
Tracey Brailsford, chair of the LGBT+ staff network group, said: “Staff networks enhance our experience and provide invaluable insights into how the trust can ensure fair and equitable equal opportunities that are available to all employees and the community we serve.”
