For all training requests, please complete a training request form and a member of our team will be in contact with the trainee.
Information for Line managers
Prior to a trainee attending a training session, please ensure the trainee has their NHS email address. In addition, all attendees will need to have a quiet room (at their base or home) and use of a computer, laptop or tablet to be able to access the training session as a mobile phone screen is not a suffice size. Unfortunately, if the above is not in place the training will have to be rescheduled
SystmOne training
To ensure consistency and understanding of how DCHS requires staff to record their notes, activity for reporting, and to use SystmOne to its full capacity for their role, all new starters to DCHS, including students, bank staff, regular agency, and users who may have already used SystmOne within another Trust, are required to undertake the standardised initial SystmOne induction training before access to SystmOne is granted.
The session is an introduction to SystmOne and will focus on the navigation, key concepts, functionalities and usage specific to your role and the main SystmOne unit tto be worked on. To request SystmOne induction, a training request form must be completed. Once the completed form has been completed, a member of the systems training request team will be in contact with the trainee with details of training session.
SystmOne training via ESR
We have introduced a new process for delivering SystmOne induction training via ESR which is available to some staff members. Once we receive the completed training request form, if training via ESR is applicable to the staff member's role and SystmOne unit they will be accessing, instructions together with a guide will be eamiled to the trainee. The guide will explain how to access the ESR session, the steps to follow for completing the course, and how to obtain an automatic completion of training email. The automatic completion of training email must be forwarded to the training request team before access to SystmOne can granted by the Registration Authortiy team.
SystmOne training via Teams
If the ESR training is not applicable to the staff members role and main SystmOne unit they will be accessing, an email offering a Teams training session with one of our facilitators will be sent to the trainee. Teams training sessions take place via Microsoft Teams and can last up to 90 minutes. As training is specific to a role, our facilitators allocate adequate time to cover the objectives set for each training session, therefore, we ask attendees to please arrive on time. Unfortunately, late arrivals may be asked to rebook their session.
**Please note, the ESR training option is not currently available for all staff including students, administrators/receptionists, phlebotomists, ward-based staff, or those working on the Mental Health SystmOne unit**
This one to one session is for those that have previously attended SystmOne Induction training.
The session will cover key concepts and functionalities of SystmOne & provide an update on new features or changes that may have been made since the initial training was undertaken.
